Hey, Mike. It is suggested that unless you plan to run this loco on DC as well as DCC, you disable the DC functions on the Analog Controls tab and run NMRA Digital only. This prevents a transitory DCC spike from making the loco take off at Warp 8 and self destruct with a Lemming Leap off your layout table. A scale 350 ft (scale) swan dive is hard to recover from... BTDT.

That's the 130' turntable which is too big for my needs. Damn pity that Walthers don't make their 90' in N scale, only HO.

Thanks for sharing to this point! I’m working on repainting something all red into CSX colors as well as painting an undecorated. Looking for all the steps I can. I think the clear coat part was really helpful so I’m glad you mentioned it. I do remember hearing that before.

How you managed to do this without slicing your finger is beyond me. For anybody who uses a blade, don’t keep your hands on the other side of a blade this sharp. That’s at least when you’re applying moderate or more force like when working on the hand rails.

I'd watched a vid about DC vs DCC before but I subscibed today because I saw in my feed, the vids on the large passenger terminal here. That kind of scene, and how it is built, is always interesting to me. Passenger operations can make for a great session, in, and of themselves.

If you have the space, put the station over the tracks with a street viaduct and make those tracks thru-tracks. You could extend platforms and shed on the other side of the depot that way, also.

The LEDs look great but honestly I'd use a mix. It would give some texture to the overall lighting and show more randomness in each building.

The great thing about the plastic that’s left behind from building a kit is the extra parts can be used to make another building and the small stuff is great filler for a salvage yard gondola! It looks awesome Mike! Love your channel and the videos!

Absolutely amazing series on Drop Down Bridges! I stumbled across it searching for how I wanted to handle an ~4' span across doorway. Researched Lift ups (won't work, 53" base height, 8' ceilings, do the math, won't cut it...) Then looked at lift outs, ok a possibility, but then found this channel and the series, watched them all. I love the idea of terrain on each side of the drop down (I had planned on a narrow 2 main bridge with just a couple of trestle bridges, but now all in for making wider and add scenery!) An amazing engineering/electrical/artistic concept. Very well done and I have watched/subscribed to a lot of MRR channels. This is the route I am going to go. Thank you for sharing! Now to catch up on the rest of your channel! I did got to website to see final pics but was unable to find them :(

One idea I learned to limit “bleed over” on windows, is to take an applicator and apply dabs if super glue to the edges of where the window is going to go. It reduces the “bleed over.”

Great to hear you and your family is doing fine. Though we do miss you I know what you are going through. After my wife passed I walked away for a time. But when I got back my family, RxR friends, & I had a plan to increase my previous layout six fold. Then after minor setbacks I had a heart attack in January. Now I'm getting my strength back and will return to the train room full speed ahead by Spring. So kick back. Chillax. We'll see you A.S.A.P. Jim

So how is your 3D resin printer holding up?
